Foreigner Gardener in Raintree

レインツリーホーミーズのみんなさまへ

How are you?

I hope you are doing a great job every day.

This context is all about me (foreigner gardener in Japan).

I do not know who you are and if you are not interested you can just skip it. 🙂

My name is Marie. I am currently working as Gardener in Raintree for 2 years. My work contains mixed emotions: Happy, Sad, Hard, Easy, Lonely, Admirable, Magnificent.

Together with the users, I work and at the same time, I am having fun. They are irresistibly amazing. The smile on their face makes me do my best every day.

With the staffs, I learned a lot. Although they are having a hard time struggling communication with me, they are patiently trying to understand me. I am also happy with the team I have (Fuchinobe Team).

With the customers, luckily, they are nice to me. I told them, “I am not good in Japanese language!” They answer, “it’s okay!”. I think the important point in working at another country is you just need to know the basics of their language (if you know a lot more, it’s better), and as long as you do the customers’ request. Like, “trim this and that, cut this and that, remove this and that.”  And I feel delighted every time I finish my job, and the customer is very because they are satisfied on my gardening service.

I am happy with the users, customers and my co-staffs. But of course, I miss my family that I left in my country.

When I feel lonely, I listen to music or watch movies at Netflix, or sometimes I play games or talk the love of my life. With that, I can cope with my loneliness and anxiety.

It’s not easy to live with another country but day by day, I can deal with it. For the foreigner people who lives in Japan like me, keep fighting and do not give up.

I think that’s it for today. Do not forget to stay hydrated, eat your meal and wear your smile every day.
